ABOUT ME

Because of my appreciation for stories, I chose to pursue a degree in English Literature from the University of Michigan, through which I was able to immerse myself in a wide array of narrative mediums. With this exposure, I find myself searching for new stories more often than not. I am a writer with a deep love for literature and the arts, and I am enthusiastic about supporting platforms for traditionally unconventional story-tellers. I have experience and training in copywriting, editorial work, and literary analysis through my education and my previous work experiences, and I enjoy painting and experimenting with fashion in my free time. My marketing work allows me to create brand narratives, and adds to my aspiration that everyday I can find more ways to connect people to one another, and in turn, further connect myself.

I just returned from a year in Madrid, where I spent my time teaching English as a second language.  During my time there, I was surrounded by so many new and different world views and found inspiring people with fresh perspectives. This has shaped me into a more open-minded, more self-sufficient, and more motivated individual who aspires to do the best in all spheres of my life. I want to spend the rest of my life continuing this mission.

Some additional information for your consideration: I am one of five children, I have a twin, and I am a speed reader. I find myself the most myself when I am in new situations with a new cast of characters and a whole world in front of me. I watch entirely too much television, and I like to be out of my comfort zone about just as much as I like to be in it.
